Thanks for the new features.

Hound understands follow-up conversations and complicated questions far better than competitors. In fact, its far more useful than even the Yelp app at finding restaurants on Yelp due to its conversational filtering support. It isnt quite as deeply-integrated as Googles or Apples solutions, but an impressive effort from a third-party player that needs to be supported.

Hound is amazing. When will it work with all of the things? :)

Great assistant app! I now just use Siri to open hound to search for information. Its feedback is near flawless. This is how its supposed to work.

This app its terrific!! I love it! But please, i live in Italy! Add Italian language, please!!!

All this app does is pass through to Siri. Ask "Are you Siri?" and get an answer such as "For real". There is none of the context memory.

Wow!! The pace at which this answers is amazing. Very accurate understanding too.

I look forward to seeing how this advances over time. Its really fast, accurate, and easy to use. Keep it up!

Fast and more accurate than others

Like most reviewers, I love how quick it is and the variety of topics it “knows”. But on practical day-to-day utility it’s just not there. It doesn’t recognize personal POIs for directions for example. You can’t say “directions to home” or “…office” even if you have a contact with name “home” or “office”. It recognizes what I’ll call “recreational” POIs (restaurants, gas stations, etc) but not names of businesses for directions. Will simply pull up a web search if you say “give me directions - company name". Google does all this all very well. In addition, if you ask for directions to someplace it will simply take you to an overview map and you still have to hit a couple buttons to get the actual directions. Siri requires one button press after while Google also requires two. On using it to call someone, say something like "call - Steve” it will list every Steve you have. So far so good, but if you have someone that is just STEVE with no last name, you can’t get it to call them. It’ll default to calling the last Steve on the list (or it did with me). When playing Pandora if you activate Hound, it will not mute the music so it’s listening to the music playing and your voice and Vox recognition goes out the window. One interesting thing I found was when I asked “show me where I can find the cheapest diesel within 5 miles”. It opened a list of gas stations and from personal experience I can say it was ranked from least expensive to more expensive although it didn’t have any info on the actual prices themselves. Overall, interesting technology, not ready for daily use.

So far this app is very disappointing. I speak perfect accent free English and it still fails. I want to know the weather in Anchorage but it constantly uses the acreage or encourage. Many other queries just turn into google searches. Ill stick with Siri and Google for now.

Apple should just buy this company and integrate these features into Siri.

The intelligence built into this app is vastly superior to anything Ive ever seen. Siri, Cortana and Google Now dont even come close. While it has a few hiccups -- what new software doesnt? -- its amazing tech. Whoever buys Hound (Google, Microsoft and Apple will all try) will have a big competitive advantage over everyone else.

As soon as I saw Hound was and thing and a few demos I was pumped to check it out and give it a try. Downloaded the app allowed it to access all it requested and once I got to the end & time to ask "whats the temperature?" The mic doesnt pick up what Im saying and keeps telling me to get closer. I tried using Siri to see if it was my mic, but Siri worked just fine. Very disappointed.

Hound voice assistant is awesomeeeee and way more advanced than Siri.. Sorry my dear Siri dont get mad at me for saying this but this way more cool can do lot of advance searches also it was able to understand different accents quite naturally and quickly.

Its unthinkably brilliant

All this app is doing is giving me Yahoo and yelp results. Unfortunately, these results are usually very pathetic. I asked simple questions such as, "where are the video arcades within 10 miles of me? "And what I get back is a list of websites that have video games on them. I have asked several requests and have found them all to be sad compared to google and Siri. I did the experiment. They have a lot of work to do. Their voice recognition is good, but that is all.

The voice recognition is tremendous, and far surpasses Siri. It is amazing. The problem is that the app cant actually do much that is useful on your iPhone, and it loves the dreaded and fraudulent Yelp.

@APPLE: THIS IS WHAT SIRI SHOULD BE DOING. YOU SHOULD ACQUIRE THIS TECHNOLOGY QUICKLY. THIS APP IS FAST AND RESPONSIVE TOO. IF THIS APP INCLUDED HANDS FREE VOICE CONTROL THEN ITS GAME OVER FOR SIRI.
